Devizes Festival 2010...
Over the past 30 years, the Festival has brought a wide range of internationally renowned artists from a wide spectrum of the arts to Devizes. This year we have a range of exciting performances, readings and events during the first three weeks of June.
Take a look at some of this year's events in our photo album. We will try to keep this updated as the Festival progresses (all photos are courtesy of Nick at Abacus Photography). This album opens in a separate window / tab.

BRIAN PATTEN |
ANDY FAIRWEATHER LOW |
| Writer, comedian and actor, Alexei ‘Stalin ate my homework’ Sayle, will be reading selected passages from his new, as yet, unfinished memoir of his teenage years. He will be telling anecdotes from his extraordinary life, and answering questions from the audience about anything from his dazzling show business career to easy stubborn stain removal! | Brian Patten will be reading poems by the great figures with whom he has shared a stage - Pablo Neruda, Stevie Smith, Allen Ginsberg and Robert Lowell - and talk about their influences on him as a young writer making his way. He will also read from his own work ‘The Collected Love Poems’, ‘Selected Poems’ and ‘Armada’. |
Andy Fairweather Low's musical pedigree is the stuff rock dreams are made of. The lead singer of Amen Corner, who had a No 1 hit with '(If Paradise Is) Half As Nice' in1969, his first solo album for 26 years ‘Sweet Soulful Music’ signalled a welcome return for one of the UK’s most distinctive artists, as heartily endorsed by many of the world’s greatest talents. |
